This is just a quick animation I did of a T-Rex to try and get a gig, so I thot I'd post it...

(I intentionally used poor footage for this one...)

Cow & Moon

Just did this tonite real `quick-like' to send along with an application for a children's interactive application that wanted this particular type of style...

Let's hope I get it...! =)

White X-mas

It's like X-mas (or X-Max... Did you see what I did there...?) =p morning for me when I come in here after a render's run overnite... You hope you made your list just right... You hope you were good enuf... =p
Well, apparently, I was a very good boy this `year', cuz I woke-up to this image, which I have been waiting on for a long time...

She's huuuuge, too! The original size is fit-to-print. (That's 3400x2200 pixels, yall!)
So, as always, this is a lo-rez version of the original untouched render, but I'll maker her even purdier, god willin! =D

Window to the Soul...

Started writing tonite as well, trying to keep with my attempt at writing at least an hour each nite. Mostly re-reading tonite, tho. 35 `featured’ characters to create for the 1st episode…
*gulp…* np

Okay, these eyes are a pain in my heiny-hole, and I already went thru all this! But, they are integral to the shot, and they’re already looking much better than they ever did…

*erg…* Looking at the eyes in these renderings, tho…is making me think about going back and reshaping them… =\ It might not be that big a deal. All the motion would still apply. Maybe I’ll do that tomorrow & see how it goes…

(As usual, this is just a test rendering, so while it's indicative of what the final product might look like, it's nowhere near being a frame from the final shot. This isn't even in the actual scene. The final shot will look better than this, and this isn't even a hi-resolution jpg...!)

"Just paint a flower!"

"It doesn't have to be exact. Just paint a flower!
And don't stop there. Paint a whole garden!"

DarkeForce

Alright, I’m attempting to get back into this again. If it goes at all well, I will post this for No One In-Particular.

It always feels sooo good when I play on “DarkeForce. (I call it `play’ cuz it’s never `work’…) It’s hard to imagine why it’s so difficult to keep it up…

In all reality, I should be doing other work right now. I’m way behind on everything, and need all the money I can muster right now. But, initially, I had set aside sundays to be my “DarkeForce days, and it happens to be raining right now, so I’m using the excuse that The Cosmos is telling me to do “DarkeForce”. So if we run out of money and become destitute, that’ll be my excuse: “But The Cosmos told me to…!”

Here’s where I remember leaving-off: everything on the teaser’s done, and I’m ready for final-render!
Here’s where I actually left-off: nothing’s rendering properly so I have to go back in and re-do all of it!

Technnically everything is animated. (I think… (I hope…!)) That is to say that all of the models are in place and moving properly. But there are a lot of problems with the lighting/hair rendering, and I’ve decided that all the effects need to be done in post. I’m much more comfortable w/After Effects now, and I’ve been able to take Combustion completely out of my workflow thanks to ReelSmart Motion Blur and proper rpf support in AE, (finally!) so hopefully that will work out much better.

I also spent a good amount of time redoing my music playlist. I feel that a good playlist for any project is extremely important, and can really help get you in the mood even when you might not be.

So, again, if this goes at all well, I’ll report more soon…
